Former Wall to Wall exec Poppy Delbridge has launched a new London-based entertainment formats company.

The Empress Way will focus on selling packaged format ideas with attached talent and productions companies to global broadcasters, streamers and brands, with a primary focus on the UK and U.S. markets. Additionally, the company will work with others to produce content, originating and optioning formats to form an “IP package” from securing commissions.

The Empress Way and its advisors are open to new models of revenue sharing.

Additional hires to Delbridge’s new shop will be announced in the coming weeks.

“Getting a show off the ground is hard work — so much so that a lot of potentially great formats die before they’re born,” said Delbridge in a statement. “Our new model aims to solve that. It’s also about playing to strengths. I concentrate on mine — ideas, talent relationships and sales — which frees up producers to focus on producing. We’re confident the result will be format packages that are un-turndownable.”

Most recently, Delbridge served as the first-ever head of entertainment development at Warner Bros. subsidiary Wall to Wall. Prior to that, she was senior creative and head of talent liaison at Fremantle-owned prdoco TalkBack Thames, and held a senior creative role at MTV Networks.
