MTV Studios has partnered with mobile viewing platform Quibi to reboot two MTV franchises.

Punk’d and Singled Out will be available exclusively on Quibi as 20 new episodes under 10 minutes long.

The prank show Punk’d  will be produced by STXtelevision, in association with MTV Studios. This version promises the boldest pranks on the biggest stars in Hollywood, and teases the use of tech that can “augment reality”.

Meanwhile, the dating show Singled Out, produced by MTV Studios, will be updated to feature love matches across the spectrum of sexual preference. The show will narrow down the dating field for singles who have more ways to connect with other people, via apps, than when the dating show first aired in 1995.

The deal is a continuation of MTV expanding its brand into new streaming channels, documentary films and studio productions for third party platforms with MTV Studios. Former MTV exec Doug Herzog is a content exec with Quibi.
