Bristol-based indie Icon Films has been commissioned by British pubcaster Channel 5 to produce a doc on one of the country’s biggest buffet restaurant.
All You Can Eat: Secrets of the Mega Buffet (1 x 60 minutes) goes behind the scenes at JRC Global Buffet in Watford, a restaurant that takes up 27,000 feet, can serve up to 400 people at once and over 2,000 per day, and prepares up to 300 dishes cooked from a vast range of different national and regional cuisines.
Icon Films creative director Stephen McQuillan (pictured) is executive producing.
“We are delighted to be giving an insight into such an extraordinary restaurant, where 20 chefs prepare an incredible array of dishes from around the world,” said McQuillan in a statement. “We are in no doubt this documentary will resonate well with viewers across the UK.”
All You Can Eat premieres Aug. 4 on Channel 5.
