Discovery Channel has greenlit the tentatively titled automotive series Galpin Auto Sports from Lionsgate-owned Pilgrim Media Group.

The series, slated to debut in winter 2020, is fronted by Beau Boeckmann (pictured left), president and CEO of storied Los Angeles car shop Galpin Motors, custom car builder Dave Shuten (right) and “Mad Mike” Martin (center), whose outrageous projects were brought to life on MTV’s Pimp My Ride.

Together, the trio will uncover historic and one-of-a-kind cars to rebuild and reintroduce back into the “automotive history books.”

With a focus on vehicle performance and car culture, the Galpin crew will take part in competitions, test their vehicles on the tracks and unveil some of the “craziest, most important” cars to people around the world.

Galpin Auto Sports (w/t) is executive produced by Craig Piligian and Eddie Rohwedder for Pilgrim Media Group.

For Discovery Channel, Todd Lefkowitz serves as executive producer and Ethan Galvin serves as producer. Boeckmann and John Mass also serve as executive producers.
