U.S. premium cable net Epix is launching a new docuseries based on the podcast Slow Burn, produced by American online magazine Slate.
The upcoming series, also titled Slow Burn, will expand on the podcast’s first season, with American journalist, radio host and author Leon Neyfakh revisiting the Watergate scandal, which eventually led to the downfall of U.S. President Richard Nixon (pictured).
Later seasons of the podcast have focused on the impeachment of President Bill Clinton and the murders of hip hop artists Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G.
Neyfakh co-created the Slow Burn podcast with Andrew Parsons.
The docuseries will be produced in partnership between Left/Right, a Red Arrow Studios company, and Slate for Epix. Neyfakh will serve as executive producer, along with Ken Druckerman, Banks Tarver and John Marks for Left/Right and Dan Check, Julia Turner and Gabriel Roth for Slate.
Slow Burn will premiere Feb. 16 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Epix.
