NBCUniversal-owned true crime cable net Oxygen is preparing to launch a special episode of its long-running series Snapped, about Sheila Davalloo.

Davalloo is currently serving a 25-year sentence at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in New York. In 2004, she was convicted of attempted murder and assault for stabbing her husband. The case was highly publicized, with the stabbing purportedly being linked to sex games and an extra-marital affair.

Snapped: Behind Bars — Sheila Davalloo will offer new details from the case, featuring interviews with crime writer and journalist, M. William Phelps, who wrote the book Obsessed based on the life of Davalloo; forensic psychologist Katherine Ramsland; and Davalloo herself, opening up about the case from behind bars.

Snapped: Behind Bars is produced by Jupiter Entertainment, with Allison Wallach and Deborah Allen serving as executive producers.

The two-hour special premieres Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. ET/PT. on Oxygen.
