After more than a decade in beautiful Santa Monica, Realscreen West, the top conference and market for unscripted and non-fiction content on the U.S. West Coast, is heading down the Pacific Coast Highway to a new locale — Dana Point, California.

Realscreen West 2020′s new host venue will be the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort and Spa, which was just renovated to the tune of US$25 million and will feature a new surf and turf restaurant from Top Chef┬ácontestant John Tesar, among other niceties.

Dana Point, in Orange County, is roughly one and 1/4 hours from LAX or 35 minutes from John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana. It is also approximately 60 miles from San Diego Airport.

“Realscreen West has been at home in Santa Monica for all of its 12 years,” said Realscreen VP and publisher Claire Macdonald, “and we feel that it’s time for a change of scenery. Dana Point is breathtaking and we’re hoping that delegates will enjoy a more relaxed environment for networking, and leave the hectic rush of the city behind them for a couple of days.”

The 2020 edition of the conference takes place June 2-4. The Realscreen West website will be refreshed and live for registration and for hotel bookings at an exclusive discounted rate at the end of January, with news on our advisory board for the event coming soon.
