London-based indie The Connected Set has appointed Knickerbockerglory’s Ash Greenwood to the post of head of development.
In the role, Greenwood (pictured) will be tasked with leading the production outfit’s development efforts as it builds out its expanding program slate, which currently includes BBC3′s Porn Laid Bare, Face the Consequences and the forthcoming Beauty Laid Bare.
He will play a crucial role in driving the indie’s expansion efforts with youth-focused channels and formats, including capitalizing on recent paid developments and productions with Facebook Watch, MTV, Bravo, Channel 4, Snapchat Discover and BBC3.
Greenwood joined London’s Knickerbockerglory in 2015 as an assistant producer where he rose through the ranks to become a development producer and, in January 2019, became head of development. In that role, he helped shape formats including Channel 4′s Strictly Street Dance, Channel 5′s Mind The Age Gap and Celebs In Therapy, and E4′s Stage School.
“Ash authentically embodies the audience our shows aspire to speak to: young, curious, smart and a refreshingly original thinker,” said The Connected Set’s creative director Jason Mitchell in a statement. “Ash is a genuine allrounder with a stellar reputation, fantastic populist youthful ideas, and a perfect fit for our content ambitions and company culture.”
