A&E Network has slated three country music specials celebrating country music icons Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers for this spring.

Willie Nelson: American Outlaw, premiering April 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, pays tribute to Nelson’s seven-decade career through emotional performances, interviews and behind the scenes concert footage.

The two-hour special includes more than 20 “never before televised” performances, exclusive interviews and behind the scenes footage of Nelson. Viewers will be able to watch material from Nashville’s Willie Nelson tribute concert, featuring performances from George Strait, Jimmy Buffett, Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, Sheryl Crow and Norah Jones, among others.

Willie Nelson: American Outlaw is produced by Blackbird Presents with Keith Wortman, Mark Rothbaum and Robert Rauffer serving as executive producers. Elaine Frontain Bryant and Brad Abramson serve as executive producers for A&E Network.

As part of A&E’s ‘Biography’ strand, the network will also premiere two documentaries this April about Dolly Parton (pictured) and Kenny Rogers.

The two-hour Biography: Dolly traces Parton’s journey from her childhood in Nashville to her successful music career and recent 50th anniversary celebration at The Grand Ole Opry.

Dolly examines songs such as “Jolene,” “9 to 5″ and “I Will Always Love You.” It features exclusive interviews with Parton herself, as well as with friends and fellow celebs such as Lily Tomlin, Chris Stapleton, Jane Fonda and Kylie Minogue.

Biography: Dolly is produced by Man Alive Entertainment; Francis Whately serves as producer and director. Executive producers for Man Alive Entertainment are Justin Gorman, Dan McGaughey and Hannah Dodson. Executive producers for A&E Network are Bryant and Abramson. The documentary is distributed globally by Fremantle.

Biography: Kenny Rogers, meanwhile, chronicles Rogers’ life from his childhood to the height of his career as a successful solo artist, actor and pop culture figure.

The film weaves performances and behind the scenes moments from Rogers’ 2017 farewell concert “All In For the Gambler” in Nashville with exclusive photos and interviews with Rogers and his family and friends, including Parton, Lionel Richie, Stapleton, Reba McEntire, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Jamey Johnson and others.

Biography: Kenny Rogers is produced by Blackbird Presents with Wortman, Ken Levitan, Mark Anstendig, and Rauffer serving as executive producers. Bryant and Abramson serve as executive producers for A&E Network.
