Tim Pastore, chief executive officer for All3Media America, is leaving the global producer-distributor, effective immediately.

Pastore joined the Discovery Inc.- and Liberty Global-backed super indie in October 2018 when he replaced former CEO Greg Lipstone. In the role, Pastore was tasked with responsibility for driving the expansion of All3Media’s operational output and production footprint in the U.S.

Prior to joining All3Media America, Pastore served as president of original programming and production at National Geographic where he oversaw all development, production and operations teams in New York, Washington, D.C and London, as well as the in-house production unit, National Geographic Studios.

He has also been credited with launching Nat Geo’s feature documentary strand under the National Geographic Documentary Films banner, which houses such films as the Emmy-winner LA92, the Emmy-nominated JaneHell on Earth: The Fall of Syria and the Rise of ISIS and the Leonardo DiCaprio-produced Before the Flood.

All3Media America has not announced a replacement for Pastore.

“I’d like to thank Tim for his leadership and the expertise that has contributed to our expansion of the U.S. operation over the last two years, increasing our production footprint with the introduction of new partners and platforms, and for managing the business during these unprecedented times,” said All3Media Group CEO Jane Turton in a statement.

She continued: “He has put us on the path to achieve further growth as we continue to supercharge our non-scripted slate in the U.S. Our format pipeline is bigger than ever, and we’ll be bringing more and more successful UK formats to American audiences as well as developing original ideas from the U.S. teams in LA and New York.

“It’s been a privilege to lead such a dynamic group of people in my time at the helm of All3Media America,” added Pastore. “I’m so proud of the work that this team has accomplished, including the launch of new companies with marquee creative talent, the expansion of the overall programming slate, and truly meaningful diversity and inclusion initiatives that I know will create more and more equitable opportunities for years to come. I look forward to seeing All3Media America continue to grow and succeed under Jane Turton and Group COO Sara Geater’s direct leadership going forward.”

All3Media America comprises 13 production studios and partnerships. The super indie’s non-scripted titles include Undercover Boss (Studio Lambert for CBS), United Shades of America (Main Event Media for CNN), Cash Cab (Lion TV for Bravo) and Gordon Ramsay’s Uncharted (Studio Ramsay for National Geographic), among others.

Most recently, All3Media has picked up a number of commissions including WarnerMedia’s The Cube, Fox’s Celebrity Watch Party, Quibi’s Eye Candy, E!’s Celebrity Call Center, Discovery’s Expedition to the Edge, HBO Max’s 12 Dates of Christmas and Netflix’s The Circle.
