It’s time once again to gather together your clip submissions for our anniual MIPTV Picks spotlight.
Appearing online at realscreen.com in early April, our MIPTV Picks feature will shine the spotlight on several “can’t miss” projects making their way to the Cannes market, as selected by the Realscreen editorial team.
To that end, Realscreen is asking for online clip submissions in six categories:
• Factual Entertainment/Unscripted
• Formats
• History & Biography
• Lifestyle
• Music, Arts, Culture & Sport Documentary
• Political, Social & Religious/Current Affairs
• Science & Natural History
Upload your new clips (around five to eight minutes in length at the most, but one- to two-minute trailers are fine as well), and our editorial panel will select the best of the submissions to feature. The clip the panel ranks highest will be named Best in Show.
Certain rules apply:
i) Clips must be submitted through the Realscreen site (www.realscreen.com/upload/ – to the attention of Barry Walsh) on or before Monday, February 8, 2021. In the ‘Instructions’ box, please include some background on the project (production company partners; distributor/distributors; rights available; broadcasters, if any). (Ignore the ‘Advertiser’ box.) NOTE: Links to clips housed on other sites (Vimeo, YouTube, etc.) are also accepted and can be sent via email to Barry Walsh at bwalsh@brunico.com;
ii) Clips must be from new projects coming to MIP for the first time in filmed form (projects previously pitched are acceptable, providing filming had not wrapped previous to MIPCOM 2020);
iii) Up to two (2) clips may be submitted from any one production company, to a maximum of six (6) clips per distributor or sales agent;
iv) File format suggestions: QuickTime, WMV and FLV files are accepted, as well as links to projects housed on other platforms (Vimeo, YouTube, etc.). If sending links, please include them in the ‘Instructions’ box, or via email. Uploaded content should not exceed the file size of 50-75 MB per clip.
Thanks and good luck!
