McGillivray Entertainment Media (MEM) — led by owner/CEO Scott McGillivray (HGTV’s Income Property) — has promoted Angela Jennings to president and Jeff Baker to head of production.
Both appointments are effective immediately.
Jennings (pictured) will oversee MEM’s stakeholder relations with broadcast and OTT partners, in addition to managing corporate development, financial and legal strategy and daily operations.
The executive was previously SVP of production and joined the company at its inception in 2014.
Baker manages MEM’s production companies, including day-to-day operations of all projects in production. He began his tenure at MGM in 2017 and was previously a line producer.
“The appointments of Angela and Jeff are extremely important to the evolution of McGillivray Entertainment Media,” McGillivray said in a statement. “It is no secret that I always have big ambitions for my companies. The experience and leadership that Angela and Jeff bring to these roles will help successfully position us for the exciting time ahead.”
Jennings is a 20+ year veteran of the production industry and has worked in both Canada and the United States as an executive producer, showrunner and director on more than 600 hours of factual programming. Prior to joining MEM, she was president and owner of Fusion Television, an award-winning, non-fiction production company.

For his part, Baker also has over 20 years of experience producing and managing lifestyle, factual and reality television series. He joined MEM in 2017 as the line producer for Buyers Bootcamp and went on to oversee two seasons of Scott’s Vacation House Rules. His credits also include Timber Creek Lodge, Apres Ski, The Incredible Food Race, Ex-Wives of Rock, and Cake Walk. His extensive production background has forged strong relationships with notable broadcast partners including NBC Universal, Discovery, CTV, and Corus Entertainment.
