London-based indie Rumpus Media has named Nadine Furlong (pictured) its new head of development, and also promoted Lucy Rothery to the position of director of operations.
Furlong joins Rumpus from Multistory Media, where she was a development executive. Prior to that, she produced live series like So You Think You Can Dance and The Voice UK for BBC One, Big Brother UK and Celebrity Big Brother for Channel 5 and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! for ITV. She also held several positions at U.K. prodco Betty, including senior development producer and acting head of development.
“Nadine has a proven track record for bringing entertaining and engaging factual entertainment formats to screen. Her wealth of expertise in not only development but production will be pivotal as we continue to grow and expand the business,” said Emily Hudd, managing director of Rumpus in a release.
Rothery, an eight-year veteran of Rumpus, will take over as director of operations after a stint as head of production. At Rumpus she’s overseen productions like Asian Provocateur and Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back.
“Lucy is instrumental to the business and continues to oversee and drive forward all aspects of production as we continue to grow,” said Hudd of the promotion.
Both Furlong and Rothery begin their new roles immediately, with both reporting to Rumpus Media’s joint managing directors, Hudd and Iain Wimbush.
