NHK and Al Jazeera partner on science series

Discover Science, the ultimate science entertainment series, will be a coproduction between NHK/NHK Educational Corporation and Al Jazeera Children's Channel. This is the first series coproduced by the three companies. Production is being led by NHK Educational Corporation (NED), an NHK affiliate that produces both children's and adult programming for NHK's educational channel. There will be no CGI or talking heads in Discover Science and instead the visual focus is the experiments. The series is a response to dwindling interest in science among children in Japan and to JCC's shared need for good science programming for children. The 26 x 14-minute series aims to be completed in the fall.
