Seventy five international territories acquire ‘Four Weddings’

ITV Studios Global Entertainment is boasting that its format Four Weddings has been acquired by 75 international territories for the original UK and U.S. versions. The first two seasons of Four Weddings UK, commissioned by LIVING and produced by ITV STUDIOS, have been acquired by broadcasters such as BBC Worldwide (Africa), HOT Family (Israel), SBS (Belgium), TVNZ (New Zealand), Lifestyle (Australia) and Zone Club (Poland and Hungary). LIVING television has also acquired the debut season of the U.S. version of the series, produced by ITV Studios (USA) for TLC. Additionally, Italy's Rete 4, owned by Mediaset, has commissioned ITV Studios format Four Weddings for local production. Mediaset-owned RTI Productions will produce 4 x 2-hour episodes of the show and will premiere in autumn 2010. The format pits four brides against each other in the hopes to have the wedding with the best scores to win a honeymoon prize.
