Zodiak increases its share in Mumbai’s Sol Production

Sol Productions, part of the Zodiak Entertainment Group, has named a new CEO and announced that Zodiak Entertainment has further increased its stake in the Mumbai-based company. Zodiak Entertainment increased its 35% share to 51% after Sol's rapid growth met the targets set out in the original agreement in 2008. The stake increase will not impact the day to day running of Sol Production and Sol will retain its independent status and the Sol brand. The production company produces high rated shows like celebrity match-making reality series Swayamvar, which got audiences of 38 million in season one and 25.4 million viewers for season two. Sol Productions new CEO is Keshav Kaul, who was most recently associate vice president strategic planning at Indian broadcaster STar TV. He will run Sol's commercial business and lead plans for expansion into new regions and genres.
