Film adaptation of ‘Freakonomics’ to close Tribeca

Organizers of Tribeca Film Festival have recently announced that the film version of Freakonomics, the bestselling book written by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner, will make its world premiere on the closing night gala. The documentary will screen on April 30, and includes segments directed by Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side), Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me), Rachel Grady and Heidi Ewing (Jesus Camp), Eugene Jarecki (Why We Fight) and Seth Gordon (The King of Kong). Tribeca Film Festival runs from April 21 to May 2.
