Darlow Smithson gets BBC Two/PBS commission

UK-prodco Darlow Smithson Productions (DSP) has been commissioned by BBC Two and PBS's series NOVA to create Mystery of Flight 447(w/t), a 1x60-minute program which will use a group of experts to explain how Air France Flight 447 disappeared. The film will use CGI to tell the story as the team carries out experiments to examine and question what could have happened, looking at every possibility from weather to faulty equipment. The program was commissioned by Cassian Harrison and Kim Shillinglaw for BBC Two and Paula Apsell for NOVA. It will be executive produced by Julian Ware and Tom Brisley for DSP and executive produced by Howard Swartz for NOVA and distributed by Endemol Worldwide Distribution.
