Waterlife wins multimedia award

The NFB's Waterlife Interactive website won the City of Karlsruhe Prize at the BaKaFORUM 2010 TV and Media Forum in Karlsruhe, Germany. The BaKaFORUM honors the best educational, societal or science programming. Anaconda by UR from Sweden shares the award for best multimedia project with Waterlife. Other winners at the event include Troubled Minds from Teachers' TV which won the award for best program for schools or for young people and The Woman with the 5 Elephants from Mirafilm, for best program for a large audience. Challenges of Our Time by DR took the Youth Jury Prize and Mursi Me by Bruktawit Tigabu, Whiz Kids Workshop PLC from Ethiopia took the prize for best television program proposal from a developing or transition country in Africa, Asia or Latin America.
