L.A. Times pays tribute to Larry 'L.A.' Johnson, a documentary filmmaker who had a close collaborative relationship with musician Neil Young. Johnson passed away at the age of 62 on January 21. As a sound supervisor on Woodstock, Johnson met Young and went on to work on many film projects with the legendary musician, the most recent being The Neil Young Trunk Show.
