Canadian documentary filmmakers, take note: The Don Haig Award application deadline is January 29. The prestigious award goes to an emerging filmmaker and also comes with a $20,000 cash prize, provided by documentary. Previous winners are Brett Gaylor and Tracey Deer (2009), Yung Chang (2008), Hubert Davis (2007) and Guylaine Dionne and Sean Garrity (2006).
