Planet Green to go 24-hrs

Planet Green will move to a 24-hour schedule in the second quarter 2010, Discovery Communications announced at its TCA presentation in Los Angeles. As part of this change the channel will create traditional day parts while also launching a primetime block entitled Verge. The new block will feature the stories of 'the renegades and visionaries who are on the verge of something new, something incredible and often something awe inspiring.' The first week of Verge, which will start when the channel moves to 24/7 on March 29, will feature Future Food which sees two renowned chefs looking for solutions to environmental issues through cooking and Wa$ted's third season. It will also feature series such as Big Chef Takes On Little Chef; Blood, Sweat & Takeaways; Conviction Kitchen; The Fabulous Beekman Boys and Operation Wild
