NHK acquires ‘Black Nation’ doc

Open Door Co. and Herrlander Pictures have announced its feature documentary Black Nation (90' and 60') has been acquired by NHK to air in January, to mark the first anniversary of Barack Obama's term in office. Black Nation examines the lives of African-American men through the streets of Detroit, past and present, and the city's controversial church - The Shrine of the Black Madonna. It has also been picked up for broadcast by SBS and SVT.
