MIPTV has announced it is launching MIPFormats, a full day of conferences, pitching sessions, networking events and new format launches dedicated to the format industry. It will take place one day before MIPTV on April 11 in the Palais des Festivals, Cannes, France and is supported by industry partners The WIT, FRAPA and Entertainment Master Class. The event has a call for entries for 'Fresh Talent Pitch,' which asks producers to propose their original new format ideas for non-scripted factual entertainment and is open on December 15 at www.mipworld.com.
