Dok Leipzig reports record numbers

The 52nd International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film (DOK Leipzig) opened on October 26 and is already reporting record breaking attendance numbers. The festival is counting on 148 directors from 38 countries to be in attendance, including guests from Brazil, Georgia, India, Ivory Coast, the U.S and, for the first time, a director from Nepal (Kesang Tsetsen will accompany his film In Search of the Riyal). Accreditations have also significantly increased from last year. DOK Leipzig's guest offices report that 1,216 industry professionals have been accredited. The festival runs from October 26 to November 1, 2009.
