BBC considering part-privatisation of BBCWW

BBC director general Mark Thompson told the Guardian yesterday that the BBC may be looking to sell a portion of BBC Worldwide (BBCWW). The announcement comes after last week's letter to license fee holders by BBC Trust chairman, Sir Michael Lyons, stating that the Beeb is reviewing its structure to see if it can shrink in size. According to the Guardian the options under consideration include listing the business on the stockmarket.
