Sundance Channel firms up France plans

Rainbow Media Holdings LLC has confirmed a new home for Sundance Channel in France. Starting today (September 3, 2009)the channel will be carried on Free, also marking the French television operator's 10th anniversary. The Sundance Channel will air 24/7 on Free in both standard and HD with French subtitles. This announcement follows plans that were announced this March for the channel to go out in France on broadband operator Numericable. The deal with Free marks the first French operator to debut the channel in France and the first to offer a triple-play service. For more information see the release.
