Naked Lunch party to raise funds for Burroughs doc

William Burroughs' controversial and groundbreaking novel The Naked Lunch hits its 50th anniversary this year. To celebrate that fact, and raise funds for Yony Leyser's upcoming doc William S. Burroughs: A Man Within, a party will be held at Chicago's Th!nkArt Salon on August 28. Guests will include actor Peter Weller (who starred in the 1991 film adaptation of the novel), performance artist Penny Arcade, Hal Willner, and poets John Giorno and Anne Waldman among others.
