America votes on new Hope Diamond setting for Smithsonian doc

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the donation of the Hope Diamond to the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History, the American public will decide its fate via the Smithsonian Channel. The diamond will undergo a redesign which will be decided on through a vote on Smithsonian Channel's website and the new setting will be televised as part of the premiere of the channel's Mystery of the Hope Diamond documentary in March 2010.
