BBC Prime to rebrand as BBC Entertainment

BBC Worldwide Channels has announced that starting in November, pan-regional, general entertainment channel BBC Prime will be rebranded as BBC Entertainment. BBC Prime, which launched in 1995, is currently available in 12 million households across Europe and the Middle East. As part of the rebranding, the channel will utilize the on-air look of BBC Entertainment, part of BBC Worldwide Channels' global portfolio of BBC-branded thematic channel brands. BBC Entertainment first launched in Asia in 2006 and has subsequently branched into India, Poland, Africa, Scandinavia and Latin America.
