Academy Award-winning filmmaker Michael Moore is still hard at work on his upcoming doc, Capitalism: A Love Story, but he's also got another project underway - his Traverse City Film Festival, which runs from July 28 through August 2 in Traverse City, Michigan. Moore says the 2009 edition, which just opened ticket sales to the general public this past Saturday, will feature the best line-up in the festival's five-year history. Among the films appearing are the opening night film Troubled Water from director Erik Poppe and the closing night feature, Julie & Julia, starring Meryl Streep as Julia Child. Docs appearing at the festival include: Valentino: The Last Emperor; Outrage; Winnebago Man and Rachel, which will be included within two sections of films from the Middle East. There will also be a dedicated focus on the environment via eight docs dealing with urgent environmental issues.
