Israeli charity takes special award at One World

The Jerusalem-based charity B'Tselem won the Special Award at the One World Media Awards for its Camera Distribution Project, a program that gives Palestinians the equipment to record human rights violations committed in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. The Special Award goes to media projects or organizations that are working on the ground in developing nations and is sponsored by the Institute of Development Studies. In addition, Jonathan Miller of Channel 4 News was awarded Broadcast Journalist of the Year, Joe Berlinger's Crude won the International Documentary Award and BBC2's Iran and the West: The Pariah State took the TV Documentary Award.
