Brian Graden leaving MTV Networks

Brian Graden, president, entertainment, of MTV Networks Music Group and cable channel Logo, is leaving the posts at the end of this year upon expiration of his contract, according to various reports. Graden has led the charge in programming for MTV, VH1, MTV2 and CMT, and with Logo, was responsible for programming specifically for the channel's LGBT audience. He'd been with MTVN for 12 years, shaping MTV's move to more reality-oriented fare and bringing such hits to the network as The Hills, America's Best Dance Crew, Making The Band, Pimp My Ride, Punk'd, My Super Sweet 16,Jackass, The Osbournes and Total Request Live. He'd also made similar inroads with programming at VH1. Reports say Graden plans on developing projects he's writing, and that there are no plans to fill his post.
