Luxury brand PPR backs human consumption doc

PPR, the French holding company with Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Puma and other luxury brands under its umbrella, has made the unusual choice to back Yann Arthus-Bertrand's human consumption documentary Home. PPR co-financed the production with French public broadcaster France 2 and the Qatar Foundation. The film takes a look at the human impact around the globe, including Spain, Africa and Dubai and was narrated by Glenn Close in English, and Salma Hayek in Spanish. It aired on the National Geographic Channel in the U.S. and the home video distribution is courtesy of News Corp.'s 20th Century Fox.
