Smithsonian Channel has acquired North American rights to Earth-Touch's new HD film Gannets - The Wrong Side of the Run. The wildlife documentary specialist Earth-Touch will also team up with Smithsonian Channel to coproduce three more films, Diving with Crocodiles, Pride in Battle and Cheetah - the Super Specialist. In a separate deal, Earth-Touch has also presold Diving with Crocodiles to Arte for France and Germany. The South African-based production company will attend MIPCOM for the first time with seven one-hour docs on its slate.
