Travel Channel pres/GM leaving in 2010

Travel Channel Media announced Wednesday that Travel Channel president/GM Patrick Younge will be leaving his post in January, 2010, to return with his family to London. The company says Cox Communications president Pat Esser and the senior management team had known since 2007 of Younge's plans to return to the UK once his youngest child became of high school age. 'As tough as I will find it to leave my team at Travel Channel Media (TCM), I'm fulfilling a promise I made to my two children, who remained in the UK when I joined TCM in 2005,' said Younge in the statement. Elsewhere, Younge says Esser and the TCM staff 'know they can rely on me to continue to give this business 100% through year-end to ensure our upfront commitments are delivered and there is a smooth handover to my eventual successor.'
