‘The Cove’ wins audience award at Hot Docs

Once the final film ended at Hot Docs last night, the ballots were tallied and the verdict is in; the most popular film with Hot Docs audiences this year was The Cove. The doc on famous dolphin trainer Richard O'Barry's infiltration of a cove in Taiji, Japan to end the slaughter of dolphins, also won the audience award at Sundance this year. 65_Redroses, the story of a group of women with cystic fibrosis who meet online, came in second.
