Discovery files Kindle patent suit against Amazon

Discovery Communications has filed a patent infringement suit against Amazon.com stating that features of Amazon's electronic book Kindle and Kindle 2, violate the company's own patent. The suit states that Discovery Communications and John S. Hendricks developed digital content and delivery services in the 1990s and Hendricks invented secure encrypted systems for the selection, transmission and sale of electronic books.
