HBO's president of HBO Documentary Films, Sheila Nevins, will receive the third annual Doc Mogul Award at this year's Hot Docs. The award recognizes someone who has made a large contribution to the doc industry throughout his or her career. The luncheon presenting the award will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the Sutton Place Hotel in Toronto. Tickets are available at www.hotdocs.ca. Nevins has won many prestigious awards for her contributions to docs, such as Primetime Emmys, News and Documentary Emmys, George Foster Peabody Awards, a Personal Peabody Award and an Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award. The Doc Mogul Award went to Rudy Buttignol in 2007 and Nick Fraser in 2008.
