In May, Canadian filmmaker Alanis Obomsawin will receive the outstanding achievement award at Hot Docs awards presentation. Since 1967, Obomsawin has been churning out documentaries on the social realities of Canada's First Nations communities. Toronto filmmaker Ron Mann will also be honored with a retrospective of his career.
