KinoSmith launches new doc award at Cinefest Sudbury fest

Canadian indie distributor KinoSmith has announced the sponsorship of a new award to be presented at the upcoming Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival. Dubbed the KinoDoc award, the best documentary feature screened at the Cinefest Sudbury fest will receive a $2,000 cash prize, presented on September 26. All docs screening at the 2010 Cinefest Sudbury are eligible, and will be judged for originality, objectivity, technical execution, content and audience impact. The jury will be made up of four of the festival's programmers.
