Yves Saint Laurent doc in TIFF’s lineup

The Toronto International Film Festival announced a selection of its Galas and Special Presentations programs. Among the 15 Galas and 35 Special Presentations, which include 25 world premieres, the lone documentary announced in the first programming announcement is Pierre Thoretton's L'Amour Fou. The documentary about the rise of Yves Saint Laurent in the fashion world, his lifelong partner Pierre Berge and the auction of their vast private art collection, will have its world premiere in the fest's Special Presentation program. TIFF runs from September 9 to 19, and marks its 35th anniversary with free screenings of classic films and the launch of TIFF's new home at the Bell Lightbox.
