Exploring fascinating history with top talent

As senior director of programming at The History Channel, Brooke Townsend works across the spectrum of the net's top franchises and flagship event programs, including such titles as The Toys That Built America, The Mega-Brands That Built America and the mega-doc Colosseum. Among her most notable achievements is the launch of Pawn Stars Do America, a cross-country spin-off of the History franchise pillar that took Rick Harrison and company on the road for interactive events with fans in 25 cities across the U.S. In addition, Townsend and team took the lead on successfully repackaging the network's two-hour History's Greatest Mysteries specials as a repeatable one-hour format fronted by Laurence Fishburne, and most recently oversaw production on two other celeb-led titles, The UnBelievable with Dan Aykroyd and Holy Marvels with Dennis Quaid.
