Bringing Tyler Perry into the unscripted sphere

Following stints at VH1 and NBCUniversal, where she worked with in-house production unit Universal Alternative Studio and NBC Entertainment on such series as World of Dance, Hollywood Game Night and The Biggest Loser, Griffin is now steering the ship as creative lead for the joint venture between Pantheon Media Group (formerly Asylum Entertainment Group) and Hollywood powerhouse Tyler Perry. The new remit includes adapting scripted properties from Tyler Perry Studios into unscripted programming, developing an audio network and accompanying podcasts, and managing a slate that currently stands at more than 25 projects, including a social justice documentary being produced with an internationally known household legacy brand, and an upcoming hybrid format. What's the dream project you'd like to get on the air?

"I have so many purpose-driven dream projects. But kicking off this year, I want to provide the audience with a safe space to escape, have fun, and feel connected. One of my projects aims to reimagine the wellness space. Why? Because on and off screen, fit is the new flex! I connected with a leading wellness personality to collaborate and create something that inspires real change. She's a star! Similar to how Marie Kondo and Martha Stewart revolutionized homes and lifestyles -- and how The Biggest Loser was a trailblazer in fitness TV -- I hope this project sets the stage for a new era in wellness and entertainment. Let's do feel-good together -- but make it epic!"
