Now that the co-venture between U.S.-based Newsweek Productions and U.K.-based Carlton Television has a name, the quest to raise the interest of broadcasters has begun in earnest. Newsweek Productions vp Tim Smith says the partners recently made the rounds in the U.S. and received ‘a very positive reaction.’ He adds that Newsweek Carlton Television is in the process of following up on a number of those leads, and will be ready to announce its production slate in late December/early January.
