“Canada’s Got Talent” announces host, judges

Canadian broadcaster Rogers Media has named opera singer Measha Brueggergosman and musician/songwriter Stephan Moccio as judges for the upcoming Canadian version of the FremantleMedia/Syco Entertainment format, joining fellow judge Martin Short and host Dina Pugliese.

Rogers Media has announced Citytv’s Breakfast Television co-anchor Dina Pugliese as the host of its upcoming Canada’s Got Talent.

The show, which has Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons as its inaugural sponsor, also named opera singer Measha Brueggergosman and musician/songwriter Stephan Moccio as judges. The two join Canadian actor and comedian Martin Short, who was named as a judge on the show late last week.

The Canada’s Got Talent crew rolls out on a cross-country audition tour beginning this week in Calgary and working through six cities. More details and tickets for the tour can be found at

The program is slated for a March 2012 premiere. Insight Productions is producing for Citytv. John Brunton and Barbara Bowlby of Insight Productions are executive producers, and Ed Robinson, Mark Lysakowski and Sue Brophey are supervising producers.
