Shed Media names Trickey digital head

Super-indie Shed Media Group has hired Twofour Digital's creative director Martin Trickey to be its group head of digital, beginning in February.

Super-indie Shed Media Group has named Martin Trickey as its group head of digital, beginning in February.

He joins Shed from Twofour Digital, where he was creative director, responsible for the company’s digital and social media strategy.

Trickey will be responsible for working with the Shed group’s companies, which include Ricochet, Wall to Wall, Twenty Twenty and Renegade Pictures, to oversee digital strategy, and develop and deliver multi-platform elements that support and enhance the group’s brands and content.

His remit will include games, mobile apps, branded content and ad-funded opportunities.

Shed Media chief operating officer Claire Hungate said: “Martin is a first class digital executive, that rare combination of innovative and progressive creative thinker and commercial pragmatist. He will compliment Shed Media’s A-list team of creatives and enviable slate of programming perfectly.”

Prior to Twofour Digital, Trickey was the BBC’s head of cross-platform productions.
