Channel 5 in the UK has commissioned Cineflix to produce doc series Trauma Doctors for its spring schedule.

The series, from Cineflix Productions UK, shows medical specialists at a London hospital saving lives using an air ambulance service based on the building’s roof. Cineflix Rights is handling international sales of the series under the title Trauma Investigators.

“Channel 5 have been brave enough to ignore the trend for fixed rig, static observation, and commission a 360-degree series that will allow viewers to┬áreally get inside the minds of some of the UK’s finest front-line trauma consultants,” said Camilla Lewis, managing director of Cineflix Productions UK.

In Trauma Doctors, specialists conduct on-the-spot investigations to unravel the mystery how a patient was impacted by an accident, before making split-second decisions on the treatment. Trauma Doctors, comprising four 60-minute episodes, is due to air in April.
