M&A broker About Corporate Finance (ACF) is expanding with the acquisition and merger of rival firm Mediatique.

ACF and Mediatique have negotiated many of the UK and U.S. television production deals of the last eight years, with Mediatique brokering the sale of Firecracker Films to Tinopolis, Kuperman Productions to Endemol, Shed Media to Warner Bros, and 19 Entertainment to CKX (Core Media), while ACF helped in the sales of The Garden to ITV and Left Bank Pictures to Sony Pictures Television.

As part of the deal, Tom Manwaring (pictured ab0ve), Mediatique’s MD, will become a managing director at ACF and swap his equity in his company business for equity in ACF.

He becomes the company’s third MD, alongside ACF’s Richard Gray and Sachin Dosani, who all report to Thomas Dey, ACF’s CEO.

Manwaring and his team join About Corporate Finance this month, and will be initially based in the London office.

“Joining About Corporate Finance as a managing director and shareholder is a compelling proposition. They are a like-minded, owner-managed, specialist media adviser with the attraction of scale and a transsatlantic footprint that is a great platform from which to provide international clients with high quality advice,” said Manwaring.

“Having Tom as a shareholder and new partner will consolidate our position on a global basis,” said Dey. “Finally we are also pleased to announce the addition of three new associates and one executive assistant to support the growing international needs of our clients. This enlarged international team will ensure our ability to deliver market leading deals.”
