Shine America ups Giambrone

Shine America has promoted Linda Giambrone (pictured) to executive VP and head of production.

Formerly senior VP and head of production, she will will continue to oversee the company’s unscripted productions including MasterChef, The Biggest Loser, The Face and MasterChef Junior, as well as the post-production and music divisions.

Giambrone joined Shine in June 2011 from BBC Worldwide Productions where she was a senior VP responsible for international sales and distribution, the international broadcaster’s global production offices and overseeing the launch of the company’s scripted business.

During her tenure at BBC Worldwide, she launched Dancing With The Stars and oversaw projects for U.S. nets such as ABC, NBC, TLC, Lifetime and MTV.

“Linda has done a phenomenal job over the last two years overseeing all production aspects of our unscripted programming slate,” Shine America president Eden Gaha said in a statement. “Her extensive experience has served us well and we’re thrilled to have her with us as we continue to expand our unscripted footprint in the years ahead.”

Giambrone is based in Los Angeles.
